The 45th Annual BDPA National Conference, kicks off today in Atlanta. This highly immersive and transformative experience is open to both students and professionals in STEM and all digital technology fields. Preventive Measures’ Chief Information Officer, Edward Martin, will participate in CIO Panel this afternoon with several of his esteemed colleagues. Edward is also a member of ITSMF (Information Technology Senior Management Forum), an organization created to “Nurture, Connect, and Develop Black Leaders in Technology.”

As a proven leader in information technology with over twenty-five years of professional experience in the field, Edward Martin has been helping fortune 500 companies elevate their technical capabilities to meet the needs of its operations and customers. He is currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Preventive Measures and is responsible for driving change to support the company vision by enabling technological capabilities to meet the industry’s needs. His contribution has assisted in making operations at Preventive Measures streamlined through technological innovation and transformation. Edward is adept at leveraging organizations, building effective teams, mentoring, and relationship building. Edward is also an entrepreneur, and is the owner of Consult e3, where he provides consulting services to assist businesses to effectively grow using modern technology.

BDPA is an international organization with a diverse membership of professionals and students at all levels in the fields of information technology, computer science and related S.T.E.M fields. With a focus on nurturing and developing diverse working professionals and future IT leaders, for more than 40 years, BDPA has enabled the upward mobility of African Americans and other minorities in the Information Technology (IT) and STEM fields. Members are actively engaged in serving the community through outreach and charting the future of the IT industry.
